Steve's Custom Log Homes provides custom log home design services. You may email or fax us your floor plans, sketches and/or other materials. We can then make an arrangement to sit down with you to discuss your plans or we can work long distance with you to design your dream home or cabin. You may find it works best for you to look over our standard designs and customize one of those to provide the special attributes your custom home is to have. Steve's Custom Log Homes will ship your log home to you for construction. You may choose from our standard designs or arrange for your own custom designed log home kit. We ship log home package kits nationwide. All of our log homes are manufactured by us using pesticide free, untreated logs and lumber. Everything is custom milled by us in Franklin - North Carolina.

Steve's Custom Log Homes provides traditional log home construction. Our standard log home and cabin packages are available in log construction with many choices of log and slab staircases, railings, interior walls and other rustic home enhancements. We can also use new lumber to create the appearance of a cabin built 150 years ago. Hand hewn log construction is also available.

Since we are also our own mill, we can provide hand-peeled log posts, railings and stairway supports. If you would like a log stairway in your home we can design and build this as well. Our railings are available in peeled and unpeeled log posts with pine, laurel, hickory, locust, dragonwood and rhododendron woods.

This log staircase is constructed with hand peeled pine log post supports and pine log railings with wood slab stairs. Many wood species may be used depending upon weight, home foundation, functionality and the appearance you wish to achieve. Pine, hemlock, locust and several other wood species are available for rustic wood stairways.
